Philip Akiode is a Distinction graduate of Business Administration.  He holds a PhD in Public Administration (Honoris Causa) from Edexcel University in the Republic of Benin. He was the Overall Best Student on the MSc in Banking and Finance programme of the University of Ibadan and MBA (Entrepreneurship) from The Institute for Transformative Thought & Learning (ITTL, Arizona, USA).  He is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Marketer, Professional Banker, Certified Shipping Practitioner and Chartered Tax Practitioner. An erudite scholar, Philip has been involved in Economic and Banking Policy Research activities with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), and has a number of publications to his credit.  He is currently involved with training entrepreneurs, bankers and other professionals in the Nigerian economy’s public and private sectors.  He was a member of the Access Bank School of Banking Excellence and a pioneer Associate Lecturer in the College of Management Studies (COLMAS) at the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta.  He was an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Banking and Finance, University of Ibadan.   He has facilitated many programmes for NDIC, FIRS, CBN, NNPC, and several Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Philip is a Non-Executive Director (in charge of Finance) of Flobegill Group of Companies (including Flobegill UK Ltd, Flobegill Wines (UK) Ltd, Flobegill Nigeria Ltd, Flobegill Wines (Nigeria) Ltd and Flobegill Engineering Ltd, UK and Nigeria).

He has authored some books including Integrated Business Studies, and Introduction to Business and is President of a family NGO and a Trustee of Egba Heritage Foundation.  He is a Non-Executive Director, Global Business Consulting, Learning & Development Systems of IGS Limited, Canada.

Philip Akiode is currently the Group Finance Director of Equiserve Group Limited, UK, an Africa-focused finance conglomerate.  Training facilitation has taken him to different place in the world including Kenya, Ghana, Dubai, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Canada.
